In our country, legal inspections are carried out in accordance with EN 81-20 standards. Following these inspections, existing elevators are classified with four types of labels:
- Red Label: Assigned to elevators that pose a high risk to life and property safety and require urgent correction. Non-compliances must be resolved within 30 days. After this period, the elevator is re-inspected. If the issue is not resolved, it is reported to the municipality, and the elevator may be sealed and taken out of service.
- Yellow Label: Assigned to elevators that pose safety risks. The building management is notified, and the identified issues must be resolved within 60 days. If not corrected, an official report is issued.
- Blue Label: Assigned to elevators with minor safety deficiencies. These issues must be resolved within 12 months.
- Green Label: Assigned to elevators that fully comply with safety requirements and pose no risk to life or property.
